Station #1 Route 563 & 532, Chatsworth
In October-December 2012 the firehouse received a facelift of new paint and exterior lighting. This was the result of the Hedger House donating all the supplies needed.
The old underground fuel tank was removed and the septic system was repaired at the same time.
The parking lot was paved by the Township, the cost was offset by auctioning off 5 vehicles that were out of service for various reasons.
Station #2 Locust Trail, Lebanon Lakes Development
In the fall of 2012, the septic system leech field was replaced by A & A Construction, all underground fuel and oil tanks were removed.
Station #2 exterior was finally finished in early September 2013, again a big THANKS to the Hedger House for making this possible. Members cleaned the exterior, the old eye soar storage container was removed, the old inoperable siren was removed. Next up will be the insides of both stations.
During early 2014 the apparatus bay ceilings were replaced at station 2 along with all new wiring and energy-efficient lights, the interior was painted and new metal gear racks were installed. In the fall all new wood was replaced above the office and day-room and then a new roof was installed on the entire building along with new seamless gutters.
Early 2015 the office and day-room was remodeled, members did 95% of the work. Bear Electric did all new wiring and fixtures throughout the areas, at the same time a new energy-efficient furnace was installed by Myers Heating and Cooling. All the work was inspected and approved. August 2015, another project has been completed as the security block glass was installed by Fred Nichols Glass in 5 former window openings, as residents know the windows have been boarded up for many years and were an eyesore, well now the firehouse has natural light and we are able to get ventilation throughout the building.
